Summary:
The problem of this research is identified in the inferior level of performance of Qu'oran teaching competencies and its sciences for the students / teachers in faculty of education, Sana'a university of Yemen Republic . to address this problem, our research tried to answer the following question:-
1- What are the teaching competencies, which should be fully understood by the student/ teacher in dept of Quran and its sciences in faculty of education, Sana'a university of Yemen Republic?
2- What is the level of performance of the student/teacher in dept of Quran and its sciences for these competencies?
3- What is the proposed programe, through which, it is possible to develop some inferior competencies for those teacher students?
4- What is the effectiveness of the propose programe in developing these competencies?
To answer these questions, the researcher prepared a list of performance competencies concerning teaching of the Quran and its sciences , which should be fully understood by the student/ teacher in faculty of education , Sana'a university , the researcher was supported by: the previous studies, the nature of Quran and its sciences , the duties of Quran teacher, aims and contents of proograme of preparing the Quran teacher and its sciences in faculty of education, Sana'a university, and specialists and experts opinions. The list in its final shape included (60) competencies, distributed on five fields, are the recitation, interpretation recording (memorizing) reciting (intonation) and (Quran sciences approaches. according to this list, a programe was established to develop it, for students / teachers. Also, five observation cards were prepared, to identify the standard of performance of students / teachers for these competencies.
Observation cards were Applied on a sample of students of fourth level in dept of Quran and its sciences in faculty of education. Sana'a university, up to (20) teacher students.
According to the results to the pre-application of observation cards, the proposed programe was applied. which aimed at developing the inferior competencies for students/ teachers of research sample , through two stages, the self-study for the included educational models in the proposed programe, concerning fields of recitation, interpretation, memorizing and the shortened teaching.
The research included the following:-
1- presenting a list of the performance competencies concerning teaching of the contents of Quran (Curricula) and its sciences , which should be fully understood by the student/ teacher in faculty of education, Sana'a university.
2- Presenting observation cards for evaluation or teaching performance for teachers or Quran and its sciences.
3- Concluding a proposed programe for developing the performance competencies concerning teaching Quran's curricula and its sciences.
4- Demonstrating and proving the effectiveness of the proposed programe in developing the teaching competencies:-
- There are differences of statistic significance between averages of degrees of students/teachers. of research group in performing teaching competencies as whole (recitation, interpretation memorizing ) and in performing the competencies of each field of these three fields, before applying the programe and after it, in favor of the post-application of the observation cards for theses competencies.
- Ratio of the a mended (adjusted ) profit between the two pre and post measurement in performing the whole competencies (recitation interpretation, and memorizing), and in performing competencies of each field as alone, exceeded the least limit for the effectiveness indicator, which was identified by Blake.
- Standard of performance of teacher/students, the research group, for the included competencies in the proposed programe, which has been applied, exceeded the limit of required proficiency, which is identified up to 80 % in the post-performance of the included competencies in the whole programe.
